UPDATE - The Parish Council has been awarded a grant for £1550 from Toyota (applied for, with thanks, by Natalie Lafferty who has been working on this project with me from the start) which must be used towards a Defibrillator. She has been in touch with the School who can get a subsidised costed one for, hopefully, around £500. This means that with the money we have raised and the grant we are nearly on track for THREE in the village. We have agreed that we will pass the remainder of our collected money (hopefully about £700) over to the Parish Council once we have installed the first, main one, here at the back of the pub, and the decision of where the third one will be placed is to be discussed in the next Parish council meeting - hopefully we can cover Brister End, the middle of the village and the School end this way. Lower Covey Nursery kindly said raised £387.50 from their Carol Service to this fund also to help with installation, service costs etc. Natalie is liaising with them and the Parish Council on all these matters.
Thank you all once again for your support and we are thrilled to say that hopefully soon we will go from a village that has NO defibrillator to one that has THREE!
